About the Course:
The R2024.09 release brings advanced features and enhancements to Integrated Business Planning (IBP), designed to streamline workflows, enhance decision-making, and improve collaboration across sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, and P&L management. This update introduces new orchestration tools, a scenario decisions summary, and a post-game analysis dashboard, each geared to help users analyze performance, optimize outcomes, and support seamless cross-functional planning.

The new features covered in this course are:
• IBP Process Orchestration
• IBP Scenario Decisions Summary
• IBP Post Game Analysis Dashboard

The features and enhancements in this release provide IBP users with robust tools for tracking, analyzing, and optimizing business processes, resulting in more efficient planning cycles, data-driven decisions, and improved alignment between departments.

Learning Objectives:
• Gain proficiency in using IBP Process Orchestration to streamline workflows, improve cross-departmental alignment, and monitor process status effectively.
• Learn to utilize the Scenario Decisions Summary to simplify scenario analysis, enhance decision traceability, and assess the potential business impact of scenario-based decisions.
• Understand how to leverage post-game analysis to evaluate past cycle performance, identify discrepancies, and enhance future planning accuracy.

To explore each feature’s benefits in detail, continue reading below.

The IBP Process Orchestration feature provides a unified workflow, enabling users to track the progress of each IBP process within a single, coordinated platform. A calendar view allows for monitoring scheduled tasks and updating start/end dates, with visual status indicators (On Track, Delayed) for each task.

The Scenario Decisions Summary streamlines the process of tracking and comparing high-level changes made within S&OP scenarios. Users can select specific supply and demand levers, categorize them, and set a base scenario to compare across others. This summary also presents impact metrics (e.g., Demand Fulfilled Quantity, Revenue, Gross Margin) and allows for free-text comments to support scenario decision reviews.

The IBP Post Game Analysis Dashboard enables planners to review and compare performance against actuals from the previous IBP cycle. Key blocks, including Procurement, Production, and Distribution analytics, provide KPIs such as Plan Attainment %, OTIF %, and Inventory turns, helping identify areas for improvement. Users can assess deviations in plans (published vs. system-generated) and compare them with actual data.

These tools equip IBP users with actionable insights, fostering improved efficiency, data-backed decision-making, and enhanced collaboration across business functions.
